The Brief

Urban Yogis is the inspired creation of two entrepreneurial yoga instructors, Julie Moskim and Kathy Gabriel, based in Singapore. Together, they envisioned their dream project: a dynamic pop-up yoga studio and retreat center in the heart of Singapore, with a mission to offer weekly classes, immersive workshops, and exotic retreats across Europe and Southeast Asia.

Their ultimate goal was to build a global yoga community—one that connects conscious, inspired individuals and spreads their vision of balance and mindfulness through yoga. When they approached our agency, Urban Yogis was a startup with big ambitions. They wanted a brand that exuded authority and trustworthiness as a go-to resource for yoga events, retreats, and online education.

But branding was just the beginning. Urban Yogis also needed a fully functional digital ecosystem: a website, a strong social media presence, an online events calendar, ticketing and booking systems, e-commerce for sales, and a learning management system for their online yoga courses. It was a multi-layered project designed to support their vision of creating a thriving, global yoga community.

 

Our Approach

Our approach began with truly understanding the essence of these two dynamic yoga teachers and their vision for a global community of inspired yogis. We focused on capturing their energy and mission in a brand that felt authentic, welcoming, and masterful.
This process started with a minimalist logo, a carefully curated color palette, and professional business cards — all designed to reflect the unique balance of warmth and expertise that has continued to define Urban Yogis in Singapore.

From there, we tackled their ambitious website. And when we say ambitious, we mean it!

The site featured a comprehensive events scheduling system, integrated ticketing and booking, an online shop, a blogging platform, and a fully functional Learning Management System (LMS). The timing was serendipitous: the LMS launched just as COVID-19 disrupted in-person gatherings, allowing Urban Yogis to pivot seamlessly to online offerings. This strategic implementation kept their services accessible, ensuring their community continued to thrive even during quarantines and shutdowns across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Results

Urban Yogis blossomed into a vibrant and truly global community, embodying the energy and vision of its founders. The brand remains timeless, with a look and feel that continues to resonate. Their classes in Singapore were beloved by attendees, and their retreats across Europe and Southeast Asia attracted yogis from all over the world.
 

Unfortunately, the venture disbanded in 2023 due to personal circumstances. While their website is no longer operational, our portfolio site serves as a tribute to their ambitious dream. Visitors can still explore the site to get a sense of the depth and complexity of their offerings, the beauty of their brand, and the inspiration they shared with their community.

Urban Yogis remains a testament to what happens when passion and purpose come together. This project grew our agency into a new dimension, expanding our array of services, and making customized Learning Management Systems (LMS) a mainstay of our offerings for clients.
