Working with nonprofits is one of our favorite pursuits—especially projects that whisk us away to remote corners of Southeast Asia. Here, we not only capture drone footage and deliver relief supplies but also create profound meaning by supporting people who truly need it. Donations 4 Kids is a commendable, transparent charity dedicated to helping underprivileged children of the Karen tribes in northwest Thailand, near the Myanmar border.
For this project, our assignment was simple yet impactful: arrive on location, camp out, join relief efforts, and capture professional ground and drone footage that would bring attention to the charity’s essential work and showcase the beauty of their mission.
It was an adventure from the start! We set off one chilly morning from Chiang Mai, only to find ourselves bouncing along a rugged, seven-hour trek into the lush Mae Hong Son region of northern Thailand. Upon arriving at a high-elevation village, we were greeted by over a thousand bright-eyed children, all of whom were delighted—if not completely mesmerized—by our drone in action.
Our main contribution to this initiative is the video reel presented above, complemented by photography featured on their Facebook page at facebook.com/donation4kid. We’re honored to have supported such a worthwhile endeavor.
This project was carried out entirely pro bono, and we hope to continue dedicating at least 10% of our work to similar efforts. It’s experiences like this that remind us of our deeper shared purpose: helping communities in need and making a positive impact wherever we are working.
If you would like to work with us or just want to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
